Hoċokata Ti’s public exhibit, Mdewakanton: Dwellers of the Spirit Lake, will be closed for renovation and maintenance starting December 1, 2021, with a re-opening date in early February.

The gift shop will remain open during this time.

Parking

Parking is free. Visitor parking is conveniently located in the upper public parking lot, providing direct access to the exhibit and gift shop entrance. Directional signs indicate the public parking areas.

Accessibility

Hoċokata Ti is committed to providing inclusive and interactive exhibits, programs, and public spaces for all visitors. Free accessible parking is available. Accessible curbs are located outside of our main, public entrance curb drop-off. Pets and/or other animals are not allowed at Hoċokata Ti. Service animals trained to assist a person with disabilities are welcome. Please be respectful, Hoċokata Ti houses thousands of the community’s artifacts and has implemented a strict environmental and pest management system to preserve those items.
